Dress Code
We have a school uniform for all school activities. Students must be in the proper uniform at all times. We believe that a uniform dress code is important for two main reasons:
1. Christians should set the example for others in modesty and neatness.
2. Social-economic class distinctions have less opportunity to surface.
Minor infractions to the dress code will be dealt with by demerits and notes home, while major infractions will result in the parents being called to come get the child into the proper uniform immediately.
We use the Parker Uniform Co.* for all uniforms except our athletic uniform. Athletic T-shirts can be purchased in the school office while athletic shorts or pants must be navy and reach to the knees, but purchased wherever available.
*If you cannot find a Parker uniform to fit your child, notify the administration for alternatives before purchasing a uniform elsewhere.
The follow are the dress codes for male and female students:
Girls:
I. Daily
a. Shirts: Oxfords or Polos (No navy shirts with navy skirts)
b. Skirts or jumpers must reach below the knee
c. Shoes: Must ALWAYS be closed toe, no high heels
II. Chapel
a. Shirts: Blue Oxfords
b. Skirts: Navy, must reach below the knee
c. Shoes: Dress shoes, closed-toed, and with hose or socks
III. Miscellaneous
a. Jewelry: One ring per hand, one necklace, stud earrings only, one earring per ear
(No jewelry may be worn during P.E.)
b. Makeup & Nail Polish: may only be worn by those who are 13 yrs or older,
Makeup must be natural looking and not distracting, Nail polish can be light pink or
neutral.
c. Hair: nicely groomed at all times, simple bows, scrunchies,
or headbands may be worn.
Boys:
I. Daily
a. Shirts: Oxfords or Polos (No navy shirts with navy pants)
b. Pants: Navy with belt, 13 & over may wear khakis with belt
c. Shoes: Must ALWAYS be closed toe, matching, well kept
II. Chapel
a. Shirts: Blue Oxfords with tie
b. Pants: Navy with belt
c. Shoes: Dark dress shoes
III. Miscellaneous
a. Jewelry: One ring per hand, one necklace inside shirt
(No jewelry may be worn during P.E.)
b. Hair: nicely groomed at all times, regular boy’s haircut,
layers must be blended smoothly.
